The Chili ended up being so easy and yummy that i wanted to share the recipe! I mean you don’t need October as an excuse to eat Chili. 🙂
I find this Chili is very similar to your typical Chili but has a tad bit of sweetness and intoxicating fall tastes and smells with that added cinnamon ! Pumpkin is also super high in vitamin A, it lowers blood pressure can boost your vision. It has been known to help people sleep better! Win. Win.
Beef or turkey
1 large onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
2 cans kidney beans, drained ( I used a can of organic mix beans)
1 can diced tomatoes
1/2 can tomato sauce
2 cup canned pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon Garlic
1/2 teaspoon organic sugar
In a large pot over medium heat, cook beef until brown; drain. Stir in onion and bell pepper and cook 5 minutes. Stir in beans, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and pumpkin puree. Season with pumpkin pie spice, chili powder and Garlic, sugar.Simmer 1 hour. Top with Sourcream, Cheader cheese and Green Onions.
